population of 62,582. In 2004 the Hesperia municipal
government estimated the population at 74,000. According
to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total
area of 174.6 km² (67.4 mi²). 174.4 km²
(67.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1
mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.10% water.
Hesperia is the 4th largest city in the Palmdale Metropolitan
Area.

are married couples living together, 13.8% have a female

or older. The average household size is 3.12 and the
average family size is 3.47.
